At Tato’s, we aim to provide the finest quality of custom polo mallets, horse tack and horse accessories. Our philosophy of -- One Step at a Time, or the idea that time and perseverance brings quality and durability -- is an approach that we firmly stand behind in every mallet we produce and every product we carry, while providing the best possible customer service.
Our journey began in 2001 with a 750 square foot mallet work shop fit only for Tato, founder and main craftsman of Tato’s Mallets. Tato was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he worked in his family’s business of furniture designers and manufacturers. It is there where he mastered the art of wood work. After immigrating to the United States in the late 1990’s, Tato began to pursue opportunities in the Polo industry when he acquired the first work space. Today, the once small mallet shop is now a 5,000 square foot retail store focusing primarily on polo equipment, leather goods and one of the industry’s largest varieties of equine bits.
