The Dee Ring is similar in action to the Eggbutt, it prevents pinching and gives a slightly more solid feel against the cheeks. This prevents the bit from being pulled through the mouth. The release is slower and some slight poll pressure is introduced.
The Classic Dee cheek piece reverts to the original design that has always been popular, particularly with the Hunter discipline.
The Barrie is a severe bit due to the centre links of the two pieces being offset by 20mm giving it a double nutcracker action, which creates more tongue and bar pressure.
Good for strong older horses.
